"I want to create work for people, whether that’s staff or our partners and suppliers. For example, some of our suppliers employ special needs workers alongside their regular workforce. Seeing this drives me and gives me extra motivation to work harder and contribute further"".

- Peter Demetriou

Fresh out of university after studying marketing and business, Peter Demetriou took some time to travel overseas. When he returned he realised there was a gap in the promotional marketing industry. “There was a real stigma around promotional products at the time being low quality single use items. So we set off on a journey to create something that lifted the bar for the entire industry, providing not only higher quality product but also service. We saw an opportunity to take everyday useful items and turn them into effective promotional tools that people could use daily and interact with a brand on a physical level”.

Structure & Efficiency

Peter believes that persistence and hard work each day and making your business processes more efficient is the key to success. “Along with that, having a solid team around you is essential. I tried being a solopreneur and I found in the long run, it only got me so far. When you have the opportunity to bring a group of people together and have them working towards achieving the same goal, this will bring greater success.

You're only as good as the people around you. Whether that means you have a team of three or three hundred, utilising each other’s skills and knowledge to achieve your goals will get you there quicker, more efficiently and effectively”.

When it comes to his passion, Peter feels that finding things that people haven’t done before or could be improved is a key driver. “I am driven to do better than the average, if there is an opportunity to do something better than what is currently being done, that gives me motivation”. Peter’s passion extends to a greater purpose. “I want to create work for people, whether that’s staff or our partners and suppliers. For example, some of our suppliers employ special needs workers alongside their regular workforce. Seeing this drives me and gives me extra motivation to work harder and contribute further”.

A Full Solution

When it comes to having the edge over his competitors, Peter describes his business as a “full solution”. “We start by understanding our client's requirements and conceptualising a product that fits in with their marketing objectives. We then utilise our local and global sourcing abilities to custom build and create the clients vision. We also have the ability to warehouse and fulfil orders. Most of our clients are larger organisations and they often have multiple events running. We offer an online portal where they can draw on the stock, we then pick pack and send out the orders making sure they reach the event spaces by the required dates. We take all the hassle out of it for our customers and free up their time so they can focus on other tasks. This is something unique in the industry and an additional service that we are proud to offer that really captures the full solution experience”.

Peter describes his philosophy to change as a gift and an opportunity to set yourself apart. “Our business, like all others, has faced multiple challenges. We have adapted in times when it has been difficult and pride ourselves on presenting solutions to clients when things haven’t gone to plan. There have been times where we have faced the unexpected and we have had to think and act quickly. For example, we had some products go out that had been severely roughhoused by the courier only days before the national conference. We flew our team members to Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane to make it right for our client. Many businesses wouldn’t go the extra mile. It’s a credit to our team and the high level of service we have set for our business”.
